d Small Small World
A year ago, while in Taiwan, me and my “miniature” craze sis stormed our way into d Taiwan miniature musuem! Both of us looked @ each other and said ” This is the musuem we were looking for !!! “ Sounded like 2 mad woman? Well, in fact, we 1st came to know about the musuem while watching a documentary on our pay tv. Since then, both of us were so keen to visit this musuem in Taiwan. And a year ago, we finally got our dream fullfilled!
The exhibition hall was about 1500sq ft, which is not very big compare to normal musuem .Bit dissappointed though….but! The exhibits sure didn’t disappoint!!
Let’s take a look now shall we ?
The miniature exhibition started off with an old England street. The street includes houses, grocery stores, coffee houses…etc, and the setup were all @ an earlier era. Say about 1950.
Please note though, the conversation is solely my personal add on !! hehe

A couple’s house

Coffee house, with only 2 tables ?

An old lady standing besides the street carrying a basket?! I presume she’s selling fruits?

This is called the Rose Residence. If i’m not mistaken, this house is situated in England, and they did a miniature version on it, based on the real house.
Some sneak peak into the interior …

Dining area

Couldn’t get a clear picture on the whole interior, cos they only leave a tiny bit of the door opening! Anyway, we can see bedrooms, powder room, and a little bit of the living room!!
Here we have 2 ladies in the piano room!

and the following conversation is PG rated……..

As we leave the couple arguing their way for another zillion years…..we shall move on to the green house garden next door!!

I fell inlove with this green house flower garden instantly!!! Too bad i wasn’t able to take a clear pic of the fishes in the pond !!! This is the best i can do though….

The pond is in the middle of the flowers, and because the fishes were too small, couldn’t capture them with my lousy camera!! Sorry folks! But they are fake fishes so……hehe
Next we have a series of individual areas, like part of a house/shops. And they are being fixed onto the many display windows on a huge wall. Here are how some of them looks like,

A music lullaby? I was amazed by their detailing!

Love the kitchen!! Looking all so cozy!!

Another view of kitchen! Loving the tea table!! ( Sorry about the reflection on glass though! Can’t help it!)

What about this!! Super amazed by their detailing!!! I don’t see the difference between the real and fake, the only thing is it comes smaller in size.

A closer view!!! The work is done to it’s finest !! They are using velvet cover for the pillows and cushions!! Wow!!

Any idea where the opposite river is ?? It does look like Vienna to me though…
Moving onto individual buildings again…….

A grocery store!!! What’s interesting about it though, are the stuffs they sell inside!!

mmmmph…if that’s not enough, let’s have another closer view!! Zoom in!

Impressed ??

Straw roof house from old England!!
And then we have……

a boutique!! This has got to be one of my favourite miniature!! Look @ the dresses!!!

Wonder if the dresses can fit on my barbie dolls!! They are so beautiful and workmanship is great!!

I guess that’s obviously the lady boss……the Taukeneo! ( That’s what we call it here)

A tree house!! I definitely won’t mind having one of these in the backyard!!

Careful there now kid !!
Moving to the interior parts of the miniature world again….this time we have….

A Baby’s room!! This is a farely luxurious baby room don’t you think?? Lucky baby!!

A kid’s playroom?? Wtf ! really?? Why didn’t i have such a room when i was young?? awwww………

Look @ the bed!! I so want it !!!

Mr.Santa’s toy house!!!

Another interior of a house!!!

Why do i feel like im looking @ a real life scale house from this angle?

An oriental interior!!! ( Sorry about the reflection on glass again!!)
Next we arrived @ yet another street…….

It’s a busy looking street aye ?

Why do i feel like these people and animals are all real?? It’s not just a miniature, it’s a miniature with life? Should i put it that way?
Next, let’s travel east to Japan!!

TA DA!! A miniature of street of Japan!!

Small stalls selling Japanese food ! Ahhh….the cherry blossoms !

See what i meant by there’s life in these miniatures? From this angle it really does look like a beetle just turned into the lane!!

Another view of the street!!!
And that concludes our journey through the miniature world!!! Phew!! Such long post!!!
Anyway, tell me what you guys think !!

When one door closes, the other one open…i guess in this case it’s refering to the korean style chicken soup!!! But it’s not Kimchi soup!!!arrrggghhhhh!
Here’s another view of the chicken soup, you can even see the wolfberries and the green onions in the soup!!
Yeap, simplilicously delicious!!
OOpssss…..take note of the bbq!! The bbq meat looks kinda tough, i think it’s overcooked!!
The best way to eat the bbq meat?? wrap it with fresh lettuce leaf together with some fresh garlic!! Just imagine!!!
Here’s another of my favourite Korean dish, stone rice & seafood pancake!! In this case i think the pancake is just a plain pancake!!! Look even the sauce looks so similar to the real ones!
Another view!!
Kimchi!!!! On plain white rice!!!! Omg!

I’m not really sure what these are, i think it’s some kinda Korean sweets
A closer view of the sweets
Yes, the famous Korean chilli paste!!

Delivering Japanese bento in a traditional basket
See, when i say traditional, immediately there’s an evolved version

Another view in the delivery box

SAN-WIC-CHI ( this is how the Jap pronounce it)
Errr….closer look, it might not be THAT KFC after all…
Ok now, onto some childhood titbits!!! Does anybody remember all these titbits?? Look @ their packaging!!!
Ring any bell?? The T-shaped candy with perforated aluminium packaging?? Yes??
Here is another view of the “dunno what is is, a, b,c”…..
candies!!! Look @ their 60s/70s packaging!!!
Now, this……i really love the fine workmanship….eventhough i too have no idea what it is…i presumed it’s their own Jap childhood delicacies!!

This blog is about the who, what, where, when, do,does, did, done of my everyday life!! So i name it, the Rainbow of my everyday life!!!
