Date : 13/10/2009 | Category : Working Chloe

As much as i would like to sit down and chill on what topic i should write for my blog…..i’m just too tied up with work currently. Got 3 projects on hand right now which has a deadline that comes neck-in-neck, i just don’t have that extra room to brainstorm some creative and interesting topics for my blog @ the moment.

But having said that, please wait patiently for some 3D renderings for my new projects!! Wohoo!! I promise it’s gonna be something worth viewing…..hahahaa……

For now, please say hello to this cute little girl….as she’s saying HELLO to you guys in Japanese!!!

31-07

KONNICHIWA!!!

Oh and Happy Tuesday the 13th guys!!!

Why waste it ?

Date : 02/10/2009 | Category : Working Chloe

I did a quick rendering on an office renovation project the other day, It was kinda like a last minute thing, so a lot of the details weren’t included. But the project was still @ a pretty initially stage that time, so we weren’t expecting too much from the client too. I mean like the saying goes; ” How can you shoot the bird with only one shot?”  Well, if you haven’t really heard about the saying, that’s because nobody actually said it before and i kinda just invented it like 5 seconds ago??? hahaha….anyway, pretty much as expected, the client came back saying; ” This  isn’t exactly what we want.”

Fine, you can  have whatever you want, but i’m not gonna waste my renderings storing into some KIV folders so….here it is……

It’s just a pretty simple rendering…..but i guess it’s still worth remembering !!

Don’t cha think??

Reduced1

Oh, it’s not my office…hehehe….i’ve changed the name just so that “some” people won’t come jumping into my face…ya know what i mean ?

The Auspicious day

Date : 09/09/2009 | Category : Working Chloe

Most of us would think that 09.09.09 is an auspicious date, yes ? But not for me. Well, maybe it was an auspicious day to me somehow, simply because i get to wake up early? Like this early ?

pic01

I hate this number right now, like really hate.

I hate to see the dawn sky and knowing that i have to start working! Oh boy, i just have to keep reminding myself –Here we go again!!

Exactly like 2 weeks ago, i had to take a picture of what i was wearing! Trying to blend in some fun to the already boring journey? Did i tell you guys i hate traveling alone ?

pic02

pic02

So here i am again, wearing all black today, with my trusty white ankle boots and a backpack this time!!! That’s because i wanted to feel more “travel-ish” if there is a word like that. Hehehe…..

pic03

pic03

Taking a picture of my backpack ! *wink* Did i tell you i really love this backpack?? I think this has to be one of the most stylish backpack I’ve ever used!! hehehe

pic04

pic04

Adding some *bling* onto my look, a *bling* tights! If i’m not wrong, the brand should be ” Juice Orange”

On the plane again, overlooking the VERY HAZY city — MIRI

pic06

pic06

Can you feel the Haze??? And the air was really bad !!!

As soon as i landed, my “trusty” contractor drove me to a coffee shop somewhere around the city center, dropped me off and told me a lady will be meeting me in a short while. Sounds like a conspiracy movie ?? Well, waited for her for about 15 minutes!! Darn! She finally arrived! We both ordered something to eat, and then around another half an hour or so, she finally brought me to where I’m suppose to go! Which should be happening like an hour ago…..DUH~~

So here it is, my baby ~~~

pic07

pic07

The owner actually wanted a shop entrance inspired by their shop name, which in this case is — VALLETTA, having the 2 Ts as the entrance to the shop. How do you guys like it ??

pic08

pic08

A view from far.  Yeap, you certainly can see the name of the shop even 20 meters away.

pic09

pic09

A view of the interior of the shop.  I kinda think the pink color stand spoils the whole look of the shop!! Darn! That wasn’t my idea @ all, that pink shitty thing actually belongs to the shop owner! ( The shop owner better not be reading my blog….hehehe)

pic10

pic10

I was kinda happy with the workmanship of the loose furnitures. In this case, they were the display shelves. Tell me what do you guys think!!But for myself…i was really happy with the work!! So….i guess that’s all that matters !! hehe

Soon after I’m done with my checking, my contractor came out with the most outrageous suggestion…she wanted to bring me to Brunei and have Japanese food for lunch!!! I look @ my watch and it was already 11:00am!!….how the hell are we suppose to go over the Brunei and be back in time to catch my flight?? ( my flight was @ 2:20pm btw) When she was driving me on the way to her office to pick up some documents, we basically had given up the idea. And then, one of her colleague came into the picture. She insisted we go over to Brunei, because she already applied her 2 hours leave from the office.  Ok! Since that’s the case, we shall start the MISSION IMPOSSIBLE!

Without much thought, my contractor VROOM her way to Brunei!!

pic11

pic11

This is the road to Brunei…yeap packed with cars….and we were starting to get worried!! hahaha…but that is still not gonna stop us from going!!!

pic12

pic12

Still on Miri side…….

pic13

pic13

Reaching the Miri immigration…..and then you turn around the corner….there’s the Brunei immigration!

So…after having our passport stamped, we are on our way to BRUNEI!!

pic15

pic15

We were already on Brunei land @ this point…..hehehe

My contractor drove for another 15 minutes or so…….and we’ve reached our destination for lunch!! The Escapade Sushi!!

As TIME does matter to us @ this point….hehe…..we had to make a quick order…..we took some dishes from the Sushi train….and some we ordered….

This is scallop skin!! Marinated deliciously !!

pic16

pic16

pic17

pic17

Beans, octopus, scallops and scallop skin!!

This i ordered from the menu, it was a cucumber wrapped tuna salad TEMAKI !!

pic18

pic18

Errmm….i do think the cucumber wrap was a bit too thick!!! Gotta practice more on the knife skill there!! hehehe

This, i really LOVE!!!! The Cheese maki !!!!

pic19

pic19

OMG, the cheese was so creamy!!!! It was really worth a try !!

The rest of the things we ordered……i really don’t think this is for 3 persons……

pic20

pic20

More like 5 ???

And this is called Twist Maki……can you feel the twist?? I certainly cannot feel it lor….

pic21

pic21

After this scrumptious lunch……what’s next for us???

WE RUSHED BACK LIKE A MAD COW!!!!

And finally reaching the airport @ what time?? Have a guess….mmm..mmm…mmm……

@ 2:10PM!!!! 10 minutes before missing my flight!!

PHEW!!! Glad we made it!!!

And because of the bumpy ride back to Miri, i think I’m now suffering the aftermath…..I’m still feeling the bump right now!! Oh gosh!

Anyway, due to popular demand, i had to bring back a whole box of these peanut candies!!!! Can you count how many packets are they?

pic22

pic22

And this is what i bought from the shop i designed!!! hehehe…..must show my “little” support to them anyhow….

Pic00

Pic00

Left to right: Eyebrow curler, eye brow plucker?Fake eye lash applicator, liquid eyeliner from Japan & stick on eyeshadow!!! How cool is that ??

Well, that’s all for my journey to MIRI…..will be traveling again pretty soon….this time, it’s not for work…hehehe…

Have a great 999 guys!!!

I’m soooooooo tired right now!!! Gotta go rest!!!

Project “Runway”?

Date : 22/08/2009 | Category : Working Chloe

Except it’s not the reality show hosted by Heidi Klum, it’s more like having to get onto the airplane RUNWAY to get to my project destination. In this case, it’s another state called Miri.

I was completely pissed by the fact that i had to go other states to supervise my work. I would wish for a project in town, which i could go supervise and have a look @ how my “baby” is tuning out whenever I’m free. And yes, i call every of my project my “baby”, simply because the whole process is just like giving birth to a baby! You sketch them to perfection, then 3d rendered them and mold them into what it will look like in reality, then you do the detail drawings as if how to construct them, and give it 2-3 months time — Walah!! The baby is born! And you know what, one of my restaurant project in town is gonna kick off really soon!! And I’m super excited about  it, finally a project that’s so close to where i work ! Ha!

So coming back to my project “runway”……in order to see how my baby is turning out, i had to wake up @ 5:00am, rush the hell out of me to get to the airport @ about 6:00am to catch a 7:00am flight to Miri. I have to say, i wasn’t looking anywhere like myself, and i seriously don’t know what i was doing. I just know, i needed to rush to the airport that’s all.

But, being a woman, sometimes  you just cannot throw  the” what you wear”, “how you wanna look” kinda issue out the window no matter how shitty the day may be. And so, being so me, somehow i had to take a shot of what i wear whilst traveling, even to interstate ! Ha!

DSC04430 copy

Yeap, no smile or anything! I was just pissed and tired !! hehe

DSC04426 copy

I guess you can tell how pissed i was by looking @ my face in this photo!! Ha!

Yeap, so this is what i wore to my site inspection. A trusty white ankle boots, a very cute Marc By Marc Jacobs bag, shirt from local boutique paired with a black tight.  Please excuse my puffy face, as you know when one didn’t get enough sleep ( especially me) my face will look puffier than normal days. Ha!

I didn’t wear a mask when i was on the plane, so yeah if i get H1N1 blame it on myself.

DSC04432 copy

Took this photo wanted to show you guys how dark it is outside, but too bad in this case i think the reflection from the inside took over this photo.

DSC04437 copy

On the plane almost reaching Miri! Yay!! Did you see the sea ?? I really envied a few cities/town in my state. Particularly Miri & Bintulu, their city has got the luxury of situating just next to the sea. Whereas ours, needs about 45minutes to reach one. Duh.

As soon as i landed, i was being greeted “warmly” by my contractor, a female ( whom I’ve argued with numerous time on the phone regarding this project.) Was kinda glad i finally get to “meet” her. When i 1st saw her, my chin almost hit the ground. Because all these while, i thought she’s a lady in her 20s, never have i thought that she’s already a woman  in her 40s already! Yeah, so that’s shock no. 1.

Shock no.2 came after about 15 minutes of car ride from the airport to where my “baby” is. So what is shocking here? This new shopping complex that people have been bragging about ( including my boss and my client) , is nothing like what I’ve imagined. It was a complete letdown, and the shopping complex to me, is definitely over-rated. I was totally disappointed. I thought I’m designing for a shop that will be IN an up and coming, modern sleek shopping complex. But i think that’s not gonna happen now.

As soon as my “friendly” contractor brought me to where my baby is, i got my shock no. 3. No it wasn’t about the site being disastrous or anything, it’s actually how empty the shop is ! And i was expecting more than that @ this point of the project. All she showed me was, these….

DSC04470 copy

Totally understood why they are still keeping this board with the most ugliest painting on top, with the soon before the opening. That’s because the contractor haven’t got the roller shutter for the shop yet ! FML

And then, she opened up the plywood door for me to go in…..and this is how my baby looks like @ the moment….

DSC04469 copy

TA DA!! The floor tiles, paintings on the wall and ceiling are all done! Now, the only thing that’s missing, are the loose furniture.

Why blue?

That’s because my bloody client wants it blue. Simple as that, plus he’s trying to create a brand of his own, wanting to spread out his shop throughout the state, and i think to do that, having a consistent image of the shop is utterly important.

Since there are nothing much to see here….i try to take as many photos as i could from different angles, just so that my boss won’t say i wasn’t doing my job properly !

Have no idea how high is the ceiling ? Have a look @ this guy in the photo,

DSC04444 copy

He’s shorter than me, about 160cm, and look @ where the ceiling is ! hehehe……( just so that you thought it’s just a small and dwarf-ty shop…hoho)

DSC04447 copy

This glass entrance is where all the drama comes in later!!And i can’t wait !!

So after visiting my baby, my “warm& friendly” contractor brought me to have some breakfast, a horrid breakfast to be exact. The laksa was tasteless, even all the dim sum was horrible!! Now i started to feel how “friendly” is my contractor.

After the site visit, it’s time to visit the ” bits & pieces” of my baby. The loose furniture!

DSC04473 copy

TA DA!! Couldn’t quiet figure out what this is?? Hehehe…….you will soon find out when it’s completed!!

DSC04481 copy

See how ” hardworking” these people are ? trying to help me finish my work ?? Let’s hope it stays that way!

After the factory visit, my “friendly” contractor brought me to get some  “Tau sa pia” = red bean paste pastry. OMG! It was so delicious!!! And i ended up buying like 60 pieces of them, each around Rm0.40 , and they comes in 3 flavors. The red bean paste, green bean paste and winter melon paste. They are all delicious!!

DSC04485 copy

The small little yummy pastries!!! Yum yum ~~

Besides the yummy pastries, i also bought some peanut sweets, and it’s also very nice!!! By far the tastiest and freshness peanut sweet I’ve ever tasted!!

DSC04490 copy

The tasty peanut sweet!!! Oh yummy yum!!

So yeah, that’s all i have for the Miri trip. I think my boss would want me to travel AGAIN in this coming week, so stay tuned folks!!!!

Working

Date : 15/05/2009 | Category : Working Chloe

What am i working on right now?

Sitting on this bloody desk staring straight into the PC screen and moving the mouse vigorously….just to get these babies done….

coffeeview4

coffeeview5

won’t be able to reveal the venue for this project, but once it’s done, the whole world will know!! HA HA HA!

Well…maybe not…( my boss better not be reading this)

It’s basically a concept of Kiosk Sandwich Bar, as we don’t have much of these in Kuching mar…..having said that…this might not be the concept that they will be going ahead. You know their head change all the time! And that is why, i can post my babies here!!

So how? The rendering nice or not?? Don’t copy har! hahahaha

Comments please!!!
