After spending a night over in Milan, the next day, we are ready to head to Venice!!!

One thing i hate about joining tours is —they always want to rush you, everything you do, there’s a time given. So i’m kinda glad that we got extra time in this case to take a pic of what i’m wearing !!!

Got my hair tied up in a bundle….d easiest way to manage your hair while traveling !!

Our drive to the dock takes about 3 hours. Since we are driving from Milan. So along the way…..we again, stopped @ Autogrill for our lunch break. This time, we get to taste the local Pizza !!

Yeap, by the name of Spizzico…

I find food in Italy is kinda healthy, why?? because most of them are being soaked in Olive oil. The below fries for example…according to my sis…is grilled…not fried in olive oil. Healthy??

And then there’s the Pizza!!!!

looks yummy ??? Throughout the whole trip in Italy, i didn’t come across any Pizza Hut…hehehe…i never asked them questions like where is Pizzahut or stuff like that, but i guess if they were to have Pizza Hut, indirectly it’s a humiliation to them. No?? And talking about the choice of Pizza in PizzaHut, like cheesie crust or stuffed crust…non of those pizzas existed in Italy. So tell me where Pizza hut got their menu from ???? mmmppphh….

I kinda like it when the shape of the plate is the same as the pizza !!! The “sophisticated-ness” …..

What about their Salads?? Being held inside a nice little pancake basket! And most of the Autogrill (Kiosk) you go to, there are plenty of salad dressings available. When i say “plenty” basically, there were just many bottles of olive oil available. hehehe….no thousand island or what-so-ever.

We arrived @ the jetty, waiting for the boat to take us over to VENICE!!! As some of you might already know, Venice is a city that’s built on water. Meaning the only transportation they have is either boat or the infamous gondola.

These shots were taken while i was still in the speed-boat to the Venice island!! And i took the shots behind the dirty glass panels on the speed-boat. The colours might appeared to be a little off and inconsistent. Please bear with it!!

We were all so excited when we see this Lego like structure appearing slowly as our speed-boat reached for it’s destination.

From far this scene really looks like a cute little lego-land !!

As the boat got closer, the building starts to emerge into real life dimensions….

Not that the buildings are humongous or gigantic in real life but …..the scene really got me intrigued!!!

Finally arrived !!! Putting my feet on this island makes me feel extra good !!! 1st of all, i’ve heard so much about Venice, how beautiful it is…stories of the Venetian and the infamous Venetian mask !!!

It’s hard to not realise Venice is a tourist attraction when you see they are so thoughtful by providing a ramp for all the tourist !! Too tired to climb the stairs?? No problem…just go up the ramp!!! And i think they did put some thoughts on how to cater for the disabled.

This, as told by the tour-guide is a lover’s bridge.  There’s some kinda love story going on here….but as i was too fascinated by the whole area…i couldn’t be bother to listen!!! hehehe…i mean think of it this way….whatever the story might be….it’s not my love story anyway??? correct ?? hehehehe

saw some gondolas parking @ the shore….so being a country pumpkin again….must rush over and take pic !!!

I love the choice of street-lamps they use throughout the whole island!!

For one second i thought their gondolas are a bit similar to our “sanpan” , but when i look closely…each gondola is made of out high quality timber with a substantial amount of clear lacquer finish. To me the look is pretty unique !!

I particularly love this poster where 2 lovers lock their lips. This poster can so relate to this romantic island !!!

There were lots of stalls selling souvenirs…T-shirts and most of all…the Venetian mask !!!

I’m not a crazy fan of these mask…because i think they can be kinda creepy if you were to hang any of those on your wall. But my sister is a crazy big fan of them!! So as a result…she bought about 4-5 masks!!!

1st of all, i noticed the lion with wings on top of the building, and then the Zodiac sign clock below….hey..it’s a Zodiac clock ok ??

From the most outer circle, we have the roman numbers indicating the time….moving in one circle, we have the zodiac sign…and the the moon..and the Sun!!! The tour guide did explain to us how the clock works….but…it’s kinda complicated….so….being myself again….i forgot everything he said…..hehehehe…..

Soon after we’ve had enough of St.Marcus Square, we then moved into some small alleys to go to a glass factory.

Even inside the alley also must cam-whore…..

Turn right here and that is where we need to head to…..the glass making factory…

We thought there were gonna be some kinda 20 minutes demo or something….turns out…….less than 5 minutes!! And then they started to chase us into another room to view their products and hopefully spend lotsa lotsa money in there!!

We weren’t allow to take pictures on the glass products…..but…..who the hell care??? SNAP the way!!!

As me, my sis and her friends weren’t so interested in the glass products…we then went out to walk around and around….took more pictures on the St.Marcus Square….

and then we reached the main canal!!! I think what the gondola guy was trying to say is…..this is our City Centre.

The scene is kinda weird and yet interesting to me….i can so imagine here to be a street….and those boats are actually car parked on the road side….but here…it has got a similar scene…except it’s on water…….

Did you see a window with strips of lights hanging on the balcony ?? If i remembered correctly….it used to be the house of Michael Angelo !!! Wohoo!!

and then we finished the gondola ride…back to where we started……..it’s almost evening…and the sky is getting dark……instead of scrolling around with my sis to get her Venetian mask….i went strolling around some back alleys….and to my surprise….it was filled with lots and lots of branded shops!!!! And again…i went crazy……

Yeap…the L and the C and many many more !!!! I was too busy shopping…hence didn’t take many picture after this….hahahaha…..but before we leave Venice….managed to snap a few pics on the St.Marcus square @ night !!!

So, before i continue with my journey to Italy, let’s have a short break and explore the Hellokitty Lab !!

What’s a hellokitty lab?? Instead of the normal Hellokitty exhibition…the Jap…onces again..came out with this brilliant idea of  — Making money. Hehehe

I think this Hellokitty lab goes around the world, and i guess me my sis were lucky to get the chance to visit before they close like 2 days after.

Please pardon me for looking kinda ” haggered” in the photos…we went to the Hellokitty lab just a day after we got back from Italy, and we were like so so so so tired that we almost didn’t know what we were doing. Because we are so determined to go to the Hellokitty lab, i had to drag myself out from bed….wash my hair and SIMPLY blow dry it…SIMPLY put on a shirt and pants and there i went !!

I forgot to take pictures where we bought our tix. But upon getting ur tickets, u are given a map, and a souvenier ( which i will take a pic of it later….i forgot again…ahhh~~)

And then you were being led into a counter where we were given 2 hellokitty DNA….which you can see me carrying it throughout the whole journey in the photos below….

Then we were being led into another room and waited quiet a while….apparently it’s too congested inside!!! we waited for abt 15 minutes! and they finally let us in !!!

1st…we had a slight briefing….and then to a counter where we need to hand them our HelloKitty DNA to determine where is our 1st stop on the map!!!

In this case, it’s the Hospital!!!

Sorry for the “blur” photos here…as we couldn’t use flash lights in the lab…..and the whole place is really dark….so please bear with the poor lighting and the “blurry-ness” of the photos….

And then after having to complete our mission in the hospital….the hellokitty DNA asked us to go to our next destination…which is the Kitty College!!

And then our next stop is the Hellokitty boutique!!!! This is my favorite stop!! As they’ve got Hellokitty bags that looks like Chanel bags!!! And some really cute clothes displays!!

And finally….we finish our task in the Lab in less than 45mins !!!! we then headed out to collect our Hellokitty character card and a souvenir !!! ( I will post them up later…..)

Guys!! After having the time to rest and rejuvenate…i’m back to blogging business!! Oh…wait….well..maybe not really…as i couldn’t zzzzz well last night…..i don’t know was it because i’m anxious about coming back to work after a long weekend ? ( fairly unlikely), so was i too getting used to turning in late every nite during the long weekend that made me hard to adjust zzzz early ?? Well, whatever the reason might be, please pray that i will have a goodnite sleep 2nite..from preventing me turning into a Zombie.

Anyway, back from Italy for about sometimes now, can i still recall the details ?? I’ll try ok??

So…1st things 1st….i flew out to S’pore to join my sister and her 2 friends flying to our 1st stop for our holiday destination — Milan.

I was intrigued by the deco on the entrance @  Changi International Airport!! How creative they are to think of making the entrance into like a Christmas gift box?? So i had to take a picture of it !!!

As soon as me & sis arrived @ the airport, we went to meet with our tourguide….and got our baggage checked-in..as well as getting our boarding pass!! Wohoo!! To Milan Babe!!

Yeap, that’s my real name after Chloe. Economy class!! Bugger. But anyway, will still try to enjoy as much as i can!!!Afterall im going to Milan yay?

Girl’s best stop —- Toilet. But hey, why does the toilet look like a tropical garden?? Damn nice lah can ??

We went to walk around the terminal abit…eventhough there aren’t any fancy shops….BUT….i still bought a whole load of things….things like hair clips….earings…so what is the best business to go into?? mmmmphhh…i would say a business that sell women’s stuff!!! Who agree with me please put their legs up!

Ok Ok just joking …..and then it’s time for boarding!!!

 

They just call for boarding and the screen already shows last call??? wtf? anyway….we were in the flight in time…so not to worry. haha.

 

Our plane!!! How come it’s not A380!!!! I quickly found the answer when i got into the plane…..because not many ppl fly to Milan!!!! Does that mean i’m the lucky few?? No lar hor….i’m never lucky in any particular sense…if u know what i’m talking about. Hehehehe.

So we did the normal as you will do when you are hauling on a long distance flight. Watch in-flight tv, eat whatever food they feed us, everything except —zzzzzz……which is such a torture! Imagine without enough sleep and arriving in Milan? Where do i get all the energy from to shop all the branded??? Uhh ???

Anyway, so after a long 12 hrs flight…..i can finally get a glimpse of MILAN city from the sky.

It was around 5:00am when we arrived. So the sky is still dark, but the lights of the city is already very attractive!

And then arriving @ the airport……….

can u believe this is how their airport looks like ?

But anyhow, no matter how fugly the airport is, must oso camwhore a bit lah hor….

Just like how we were so shock to see such “beautiful airport” when we arrived.

After we collected our bagggages…we went into the tour bus that is already waiting for us @ the bus carpark….

And then our tour starts…..can you believe that ?

The distance between the Aiport and Milan city is about an hour, so before reaching the city, we had a stop over @ their very famous “Autogirll”. Autogrill over in Italy is basically like a fast food chain that scattered across the country’s highway area. So if you are traveling to city by  city on automobil, whenever you want to make a stop break, you can always come here.

The huge chandelier caught my attention….and that basically was the most attractive thing in the shop. oh…how can we forget about the pastasssss??

Lots of them !!!!Comes in different shapes and sizes…and i mean literally….i will show you what i mean later…

Yummy Italian biscuits ??? Too bad they all come in huge packaging !!! How to bring back like that ??

And the we continued our jouney….

This walkie-talkie look alike thingy you see down here, basically is a device that we had to carry throughout our whole journey.  As in most tourist attraction areas, the local tour guides are being prohibited from shouting infront of their tour groups in order to explain the attraction. So that is why we were being given these mini headphones.

Our 1st destination……..

You know when you 1st arrived in a new country, you just couldn’t help yourself from getting excited. Since this is our 1st stop…we just keep snapping pictures as if after this stop we will be flying back to Singapore! Yeah i know, you can call this kinda action a “Sua gu” action.  Sua gu = country pumpkin.

Took the picture with trees and flowers infront of the building….so fascinating! Lets keep snapping pictures!!! Duh…bunch of sua gu.

This is one of the biggest travel agency in Europe, Trafalgar. Am i satisfied with their services?? Will tell you guys more on that later.

Anyway…our Tour Guide said when there are too many Churches to remember….just put down — ABC = Another beautiful Church!! Awww..how thoughtful….and i’m gonna do exactly that here !!

You will see a lot of mini size vans, lorries when you are in Italy. Reason being ?? Because the country is full of small lanes…and it will be easier if the vehicle comes in a smaller size.

And suprisingly…there are ppl selling chestnuts !! The smoke really can warm me a bit in a 5 degree weather !

Ta da!!! If your eyes are sharp enough….on top of each pointed structure…stands a statue that’s made out of gold !!

This is the place to be !!! This street is full of all the branded from around the world okay ?? One thing i hv to salute ppl in Milan though is how well they dress.

@ least i know they are really from Italy now….hehe

Cam-whoring outside one of the biggest departmental store in Milan !

After we’ve done our shopping…we walked along the streets of Milan until the Sun is almost set….and then it’s times up…and then we head back to our hotel, using our coach ofcourse!

Not gonna tell you guys what branded i bought….hehehe…..next stop…guess where in Italy ??

Sorry for abandoning my blog for so long……that’s because i’ve been busy doing some constructive works….like this,

hehehe…..yeah i kinda know the positioning of my hands are not very “chun” = accurate….but hey…..it’s a major constructive work also !! Yay??
